Delivery & Shipping Info

Everything you need to know about getting your favorite bottles of delicious organic wine to your doorstep.

Delivery & Shipping Info

The Wine Traveller uses specialised couriers and Australia Post to deliver your goods. This service requires a signature upon delivery for security purposes.

If you choose to have the goods delivered to your home and you may be out, you can elect to have the goods where to leave the goods in the Comments section of the order; or alternatively a card will be left at your home that will refer you to call the delivery driver for a convenient re-delivery time and date.

The Couriers will hold on to your goods for up to seven (7) days until re-delivery is confirmed. Delivery may take up to 14 days depending on the overall pressure on delivery network and how close you are to the major cities.

Delivery Times & Costs?

We are based in Sydney and all products are shipped from our Sydney warehouse. We ship via Fastway Couriers and approximate shipping times to capital cities are:

We Don't Ship Every Day

Depending on where you are, we ship Monday to Thursday. We generally only ship on a Friday in the cooler months. Our aim is to try and avoid your wine sitting in a courier’s van over the weekend.

We Don't Ship during Hot Weather

We go to a lot of trouble to ensure that the wine is stored in the best manner, and we prefer not to ship in extreme conditions. If the forecast is for extreme heat, we will contact you to discuss shipping times.

If You're Not Home When Your Order Arrives

The courier will leave a card with details of how to rebook delivery or where to collect your wine. You can specify a place to leave your delivery in the comments section during the order process if you require.

How Do I Track My Parcel?

You will receive an automated email with your tracking number once your parcel has been shipped. Simply follow the link in the email to see shipping progress.

What If My Wine Arrives Tainted?

Most European wine is still produced under cork. We take a lot of effort to ensure that our wine is stored in optimal conditions. We guarantee that your purchase will arrive in as good a condition as we can organise. Unfortunately, sometimes, as we are dealing with natural products, your wine may arrive spoilt.

If the wine is corked or otherwise tainted we will offer a refund or a substitute bottle. Simply email us at Thetraveller@winetraveller.com.au and tell us what has gone wrong, and we will organise a replacement.

How Our Wine Is Stored Prior to Sale

We do not like drinking bad wine and excessive heat can cause wine to turn 'jammy. Shipping wine from Europe takes time and to ensure that our wine gets to you in the best possible condition, all our wine is shipped from Europe in climate-controlled containers.

Likewise, Australia is a hot country and this heat can be detrimental to wine so to ensure that our wines age in the best possible way we use climate controlled warehouse facilities. While this is an added cost for us, we know that our wines will arrive at your front door in the best possible condition.
