Clean fresh young Barbera D’Asti with nice balance between the fruit and acid. Perfect for light pasta dishes or antipasta.
Traditionally Barbera has been the staple red of Piemonte. The Ponte family have been producing wines for 3 generations, originally selling product to locals in 25Ltr glass demijohns for home bottling. They have always concentrated on quality land and viniculture to produce quality fruit with minimal chemical intervention.
This is a great example of a Barbera – Clean and fresh Barbera D’Asti with nice balance between the fruit and acid.
Colour – deep ruby red
Nose – Light with characteristic minimal blackfruits
Palate – well balanced with medium dry finish
Pairing – Antipasta, light pasta dishes
