Lead by winemaker Hugh Crichton, Vidal of Hawkes Bay has quite simply astounded us with the premium quality and value of their wine.Hugh brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his craft, working vintages at Chateau Soutard Grande Cru Classe in Saint Emilion France, Chard Farm in Central Otago, Donnafugata in Italy and several vintages at Millton Vineyards in Gisborne where his passion for organic, environmentally conscious winemaking and viticulture began. With this experience comes a philosophy shared by Hugh of producing wines which are truly reflective of the region and vineyards where the grapes are grown.And we couldn’t agree more!!
Grape – 92% Pinot Gris, 6% Gewurztraminer, 2% Viognier

Colour – Pale gold, medium straw
Nose – Aromas and flavours of spiced pear, red apple and quince
Palate – Soft textured palate which is balanced by natural acidity and a gentle off-dry finish.
