Sensational Tassie Pinot from an excellent year.
This is a blend of several blocks from Ghost Rock’s Port Sorell vineyards in Tasmania’s north west. This is Tasmania’s coolest wine growing region producing pinot noirs of elegance and persistence.
Fruit was picked based on clonal ripeness and majority destemmed prior to a 7-14 day cold soak. Fermentation was a combination of cultured and wild yeast, with maturation taking place over 11 months in first-grade French oak, 30% new.
Elegant red and black cherry with subtle tannins and well integrated oak. this is great drinking now or will cellar well.

This wine is named as a tribute to Trevor and Marilyn’s two granddaughters, in acknowledgement of their passion and excellence in ballet and dancing. It’s play on the French ballet term ‘en pointe’, to stand on ones toes in full extension – no easy feat – and something both granddaughters can do with ease and grace.
