Description

Nomads Gardens is the LOFI label of the guys from 5 star producer Eldorado Road.

Natural Wild Yeast Ferment – Absolutely no Additions – Undisgorged (Maybe lively, open slowly over sink or outdoors!)

Paul & Ben  had heard of Piquette through friends in America, a mid-strength effervescent drink made with the left over sweet, pressed skins. It sounded interesting and as they have only a basket press they were sure the skins they were discarding for making our rosé and white wines would still have plenty of sugar in them. Speaking to Cyril Civarella a revered now retired winemaker in the area who they lease their winery off and described the drink Piquette they had heard about and asked if he had ever heard of it. Immediately his eyes lit up and he said “yes of course, but in Italy we call it Vinello! My father made it often!” They picked his brain and in the end thought what the heck let’s try it and see how it tastes.

Palate – light, fresh slightly yeasty great little refreshing drink.

Warning – open this one in the sink or outside as it will flow over.
