Rocca di Cispiano is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany. Named after the Roman soldier that settled in the area, it is now producing some of the finest organically managed Sangiovese we have come across! Third generation winemaker Lorenzo Lepri instils a philosophy of tradition, passion and intuition into the wines we have today. This wine is 100% hand-harvested Sangiovese grown from organically managed vineyards.
Grape – 100% Hand harvested Sangiovese
Vineyards – Sotto Casa/Casciano
Wine Making – Fermentation in Stainless steel followed by 6-8 months fining in stainless steel
Colour – Intense ruby red
Nose – Fresh berries, light and fruity
Palate – Medium bodied and well balanced, displaying fresh wild berries with perfectly integrated tannins
Cellaring – Drinking brilliantly now though will age nicely over 7 years
