While Malbec has been cultivated for centuries in Bordeaux and is the principal variety of Cahors in the southwest of France, this late-ripening grape has found its true home in Mendoza, in the shadows of the Argentine Andes. There the high altitude, warm, sunny days and cold nights, low humidity and sandy soils produce Malbec with dark, lush, juicy fruit, supple textures and bright acidity – a versatile match to a variety of cuisines.

Ageing – Grape to Glass in 24 months
Palete – Fresh wild blackberry, boysenberry and cassis cascade on the palate. Spicy hints of cocoa, tobacco and violets add to the melodic complexity and vibrant grip.
Pairing – Rib eye steak, pasta, lamb chops, mushrooms risotto, blue cheese.

Another fantastic wine from Monterra and former winemaker of Grange Mike Farmilo. Lots going on here with cherries, red apples, redcurrant, red liquorice, white pepper and herbs all in tow. It is unashamedly medium bodied and offers great intensity of fruit, savoury notes and excellent structure.
